Wall Coating Renewal

The Challenge

Wellington Park is a luxury condominium in downtown London. The wall coating was faded and peeling, detracting from the building’s curb appeal. Minor concrete spalls were also beginning to form at areas where the wall coating no longer protected the concrete walls.

Enter Edison

We were engaged to carry out a Condition Assessment of the wall coating and to present options for repair or full coating renewal. We also analysed the impact of the proposed repair strategies on the Corporation’s Reserve Fund. In order to fully renew the asset and avoid the “patchwork” appearance of localized repairs, the Board opted to proceed with full wall coating renewal.

We prepared a detailed Bid Documents & Specifications package and tendered the work to qualified contractors. Edison was also engaged to provide construction engineering and project management services during construction, ensuring the project was delivered on time and on budget..

With proper surface preparation, repair materials, and detailing, this prominent downtown property is once again beaming with curb appeal!
