The City of London oversees a portfolio of upwards of 70 residential properties for low-income families. The properties range from townhome communities, to midrise buildings, to highrise towers.
We were retained as the Prime Consultant to conduct Property Condition Assessments and Capital Plans to assist with project prioritization and financial planning for this portfolio. Our scope also included cross-property analysis to identify possible efficiencies across multiple housing providers (i.e. to combine roof replacement tenders).
The work included developing a full suite of customized reporting for the City, including a living financial tracking sheet to be used moving forward, including the ability to update project costs and timing based on actual expenditures, and training for City staff.
The City and housing providers are now equipped with the tools and information they need to manage these extensive capital assets and continue providing shelter to low-income families in our community.
